Ghanaian rapper Lyrical Joe has expressed his disappointment over missing out on the Best Rap Performance award at the 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards.
During an interview, he admitted that accepting the loss proved difficult, especially after pouring intense effort and enduring significant stress while creating his track, 5th August 8.
“I felt really disappointed this year because 5th August drained me. Slim, you know how demanding it is to shoot a high-quality 10-minute hip-hop video,” he said.
Further, Lyrical Joe stressed that he takes the Rap Performance of the Year category seriously and promotes his nomination vigorously each time.
“Whenever I get choosen, I go all out. Even my fans flood the internet—they want us to win Best Rap Performance every time,” he added.
