Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin has assured Ghanaians that Parliament will pass the Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values Bill into law.
Speaking at the ongoing IPR Ghana 2026 National PR Conference and Excellence Awards in Koforidua, Mr Bagbin said
“Parliament must treat the bill as a matter of national consensus rather than partisan politics when it reconsiders the legislation. When it was rush through at the last minute without my knowledge, I came out and said, ‘No way, Parliament must pass this bill through consensus. We don’t want partisanship in it. It is for everybody. It means a lot to Ghanaians. We have identified a few mistakes, particularly in the last-minute amendments, so Parliament will reconsider the bill at its next meeting and pass it,’” he said.
