President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku, has urged the Black Starlets to go all the way and win the 2026 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Addressing the players and technical staff, Okraku hailed their qualification as a significant moment for Ghana football and a potential turning point after years without participation at the youth level.
“For years, we have not been able to qualify for the AFCON. But you have done it this time,” he said. “This year is a year of turnaround for Ghana football, and it starts with you. I have absolute confidence in this team, the quality your technical team has put together, and all the preparations you have gone through. Don’t just go and qualify for the World Cup, but also put Ghana back where we belong by winning it. Believe in yourself, and you can do it.”
The Black Starlets have already departed Ghana ahead of the tournament, with expectations high following their successful qualification campaign.
