The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has reported six additional Mpox cases, pushing the total number of confirmed infections to 85 as of June 9, 2025.
In its latest update, the GHS indicated that no new fatalities have occurred, keeping the Mpox death toll at zero since the outbreak began.
“One person is currently bedridden and receiving treatment. We urge the public to promptly report any suspected symptoms and avoid close contact with infected individuals to help curb the spread of the virus,” the statement read.
Further, the GHS also reiterated that mpox is a viral disease that primarily transmits through close physical contact with infected persons.
