603,328 Candidates To Sit For 2025 BECE — GES

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced that 603,328 candidates will sit for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), which will take place from Tuesday, June 11, to Tuesday, June 18, at centres across the country.

Addressing a press briefing on Monday, June 9, Director-General of the GES, Prof. Ernest Kofi Davis, disclosed that the candidates include 297,250 males and 306,078 females from both public and private schools.

“WAEC has already sent all examination materials and timetables to the various centres and is fully develop to ensure a smooth and credible exam.”

In addition, he urged candidates to avoid any form of malpractice and warned that invigilators and supervisors must maintain strict professionalism or face dismissal.
