The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced that teachers who passed the recent promotion examination will begin receiving their promotion letters from August 15, 2026.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, July 28, the Service said it is finalising the preparation of the promotion letters before dispatching them to the Regional Education Directorates for onwards distribution to eligible teachers across the country.
According to the GES,
“The promotion letters will reach the regional offices from August 15, after which they will be disburse to successful candidates. All qualified teachers will be place on their appropriate salary scales by August 31, 2026.”
The announcement comes after weeks of anticipation among thousands of teachers who had been awaiting official confirmation of their promotions following their successful performance in the promotion examinations.
