President of Groupe Nduom, Papa Kwesi Nduom, has announced that GN Savings and Loans is preparing to resume operations with an initial rollout of 10 branches nationwide.
Speaking at a press conference on Friday, May 29, Dr Nduom said the company had been preparing for its return since 2019, following a recent Court of Appeal ruling directing the Bank of Ghana to restore the company’s licence.
“We have been preparing since 2019. We know the former employees we can rely on, and we have buildings that are ready for use. On the human resource side, which is essential, we are ready”.
The announcement follows a May 21 Court of Appeal ruling ordering the Bank of Ghana to restore the licence of GN Savings and Loans, overturning an earlier High Court decision that upheld the revocation of the company’s licence.
