Ghanaian artiste Wendy Shay has shared that she faced intense criticism from music fans who believed she was trying to imitate the late Ebony Reigns.
Speaking in a recent interview, she revealed that the online abuse she endured nearly ended her music career.
“There was a point when my mother urged me to give up music and return to Germany because the trolling had become unbearable and was affecting my entire family,Some of my relatives even felt embarrassed to be associated with me.”she said.
Further, Wendy recounted how people edited her photos to make her look older and mocked her appearance, questioning her talent.
“They said I wasn’t good enough. It was intense. I wouldn’t wish that experience on anyone—but it made me stronger,” she added.
