The Accra High Court has remanded Bono Regional New Patriotic Party Chairman Kwame Baffoe popularly known as Abronye into police custody after he failed to comply with a bail condition requiring him to surrender his passport in an ongoing criminal case.
Reports indicate that the court granted him bail after an earlier remand following his arraignment. As part of the bail terms, the court directed him to deposit his passport. However, he allegedly failed to comply with the directive, prompting the court to revoke the bail and order his remand in police custody.
The substantive criminal case remains before the Circuit Court, where proceedings continue on the charge of false publication brought against him by the State.
