Ashanti Regional Minister Dr Frank Amoakohene has formed a specialized committee under his administration to spearhead efforts to revitalize the Kumawood film industry.
Speaking at the maiden National Film Dialogue in Accra on Tuesday, September 16, Dr Amoakohene reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the local creative arts and cultural sector.
“One of the key things that put the Ashanti Region on the map is our creatives, artistes, rich eco-tourism centers, and culture, From day one, I took immediate steps to address the challenges in this sector.”
“With the support of the Tourism Minister and the National Film Authority, we will resolv many of the industry’s long-standing issues and laying the groundwork for renewed growth and collaboration.”He said
