Chief Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie has urged judicial officers to treat all court users with courtesy, compassion, and professionalism to ensure fair and equal access to quality justice.
Addressing participants at the maiden Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Judicial Service Staff Co-operative Fund (JUSCOFund), he noted that the newly introduced Constitutional Instrument (CI) includes a code of conduct that demands high ethical standards, professionalism, accountability, and efficiency.
“As Chief Justice, I serve as the ‘Chief Servant.’ Our collective loyalty must remain with the law and the Constitution to strengthen institutional structures and enhance staff welfare.”
Further, the Chief Justice explained that the Fund is central to advancing the Judiciary’s vision by helping staff save, access credit, and plan toward long-term financial security.
“These achievements did not happen by chance. They are the result of collaboration, mutual respect, and the shared understanding that justice delivery is only as strong as the dedicated individuals who work tirelessly behind the scenes,” he said.
The event focuses on the theme “Securing the Financial Future of Judicial Workers through Financial Cooperative Models” and officially launches the Judicial City Estates Project in Kordiabe, in the Shai Osudoku District of the Greater Accra Region.
