President Mahama is preparing to unveil a significant international initiative titled “The Accra Reset: Reimagining Global Governance for Health and Development” during the 80th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
At the launch, he will introduce the formation of a Global Presidential Council, made up of leaders from Africa, Asia, Latin America, and other parts of the world to spearhead efforts to achieve the initiative’s objectives and push for reforms in global health and development governance.
Further, In his role as the African Union’s Champion for African Financial Institutions, President Mahama will lead a high-level session to present the initiative.
“The Accra Reset seeks to transform current global governance frameworks to better address the health and development needs of a fast-changing world.This ambitious initiative aims to replace outdated development models with a new, transformative approach.“
