“Pray For Peace Amid Iran–US–Israel Conflict”-Prez. Mahama

Written by Yad Media

President John Mahama has called for peace in the ongoing conflict involving Iran, the United States, and Israel amid rising tensions in the Middle East.

Speaking at a special Iftar with members of the Muslim community at the Jubilee House on Monday, March 16, 2026, he urged the global community to intensify efforts to end the war, describing the situation as troubling and one that is affecting the entire world.

“I humbly ask for your prayers during this Ramadan for our country, for our leaders and for other parts of the world that are suffering by conflict, especially in the Middle East. The conflict between the US and Israel and Iran is affecting not only the Middle East; it is affecting the whole world. And so we pray that Allah would touch the hearts of everybody involved in this conflict and bring peace to the people in the area,” he said.

He further appealed to the Muslim faithful to use the fasting period to seek divine intervention for lasting peace in the region.

“At a time when many parts of the world face conflicts and uncertainty, we must continue to protect the peace and stability Ghana enjoys.”

The recent conflict began on February 28, 2026, when Israel and the United States launched surprise airstrikes on multiple sites across Iran, reportedly killing Ali Khamenei and several other Iranian officials.
