Black Stars captain Jordan Ayew has stated that Ghana’s 5–0 victory over the Central African Republic represents a significant stride toward qualifying for the World Cup.
Speaking to the media, he said:
“We knew that today’s win would be a crucial step toward the World Cup, and everyone gave their all for the team. We didn’t overthink things — our only focus was to win.”
Ayew went on to praise his teammates for their outstanding effort, saying,
“If it weren’t for my teammates pushing and supporting me, I wouldn’t be here. This was truly a team performance.”
He featured in the match alongside Thomas Partey, Tariq Lamptey, and Mohammed Kudus.
