The Minority Leader and Member of Parliament for Effutu, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has urged members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to work towards securing a decisive parliamentary majority in the 2028 general elections.
Speaking at a meeting with the Tertiary Students Confederacy on Wednesday, March 25, he expressed confidence in the party’s strength despite its current minority position in Parliament.
“We are 87, but we are mighty. The NPP remains a formidable political force”. He said
Mr Afenyo-Markin further emphasised the need for the party to convert its strength into electoral victory by securing a commanding majority in Parliament to support Mahamudu Bawumia.
