NIA Begins Issuing Ghana Cards To Children Aged 6–14

Written by Yad Media

Starting Monday, October 6, 2025, the National Identification Authority (NIA) will begin issuing Ghana Cards to children aged 6 to 14 who have already completed the registration process.

In a press statement, the NIA announced that the nationwide rollout will initially cover 56 districts. Officials will distribute the cards at the same schools where the children were originally registered.

To collect their cards, children must appear in person, accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. The accompanying adult must present the original registration receipt (Form A) issued during the registration.

The NIA also revealed plans to extend the exercise to the remaining districts in the coming days.
