President John Mahama has declared that the nation will observe a three-day period of mourning from Friday, October 24, to Sunday, October 26, 2025, in memory of the late former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings.
A statement signed by the Spokesperson to the President and Minister for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, conveyed the government’s heartfelt condolences to Mrs Agyeman-Rawlings’ family, her children, and all who grieve her passing.
The statement further announced that public institutions, government facilities, and Ghana’s diplomatic missions around the world will fly all national flags at half-mast to honor her life and service to the nation.
Mrs Agyeman-Rawlings passed away on Thursday at the Ridge Hospital in Accra at the age of 76.
