Nigerian renowned singer Asake ,privately known as Ahmed Ololade has revealed that his father strongly opposed his music career in its early stages.
In a recent interview, he recalled that their relationship grew cold after his father rejected his decision to pursue music.
“My dad and I were so close when I was younger. But it got to a time when I wanted to leave home to do what I’m doing now, but my father said, ‘No.’ I left regardless to chase my dream.”
The revelation comes after Asake’s father, Fatai Odunsi, made headlines in March 2025 for accusing the singer of neglect and abandonment.
