MUSIGA President Bessa Simons has announced that the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) will host its Golden Jubilee Soiree on Friday, November 28, and Saturday, November 29, 2025, at the Bethel Heights Hotel in Madina.
During a media engagement, he explained that the celebration marks 50 years of vibrant musical heritage and industry growth in Ghana and will take place under the distinguished patronage of the Ga Mantse, His Royal Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II.
“An organisation turns fifty only once, and this milestone is truly significant. I commend our predecessors for establishing the Union, and now we must advance MUSIGA’s mission—to protect musicians’ welfare, strengthen the music industry, and promote our cultural heritage.”
The Golden Jubilee Soiree will deliver an unforgettable experience, featuring some of Ghana’s most iconic musicians, including highlife legends Pat Thomas and Smart Nkansah, powerful vocalist Asabea, the dynamic palm-wine highlife group Kwanpa, and Grammy nominee Rocky Dawuni.
This year’s theme, “Driving Innovation and Sustainable Growth in the Music Industry”, reinforces the Union’s commitment to promoting creativity and building a strong, future-ready music industry.
