“Mahama’s 120 Days Reform Pledge Broken”— Minority

Written by Yad Media

The minority in Parliament has taken aim at President John Dramani Mahama’s 120-day performance report, accusing him of abandoning the bold reform agenda he championed during his campaign.

At a press conference on Thursday, May 8, Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin dismissed the President’s recent national address as an empty exercise in self-praise, arguing it fails to reflect the real struggles of ordinary Ghanaians. He claimed that the much-promoted social contract remains largely unfulfilled.

“This is more than just a speech — it’s a reminder and a call to resist,” Afenyo-Markin said. “It serves as a forensic audit of a presidency that once campaigned as a reformer but now rules with the fatigue of one who has run out of ideas.”

The minority leader warned that the early momentum of the Mahama administration is already fading. He argued that the president is slipping into what he described as his “lame duck days”.
