Written by Yad Media

Renowned Italian fashion designer and billionaire Giorgio Armani has died at the age of 91, according to multiple reports.

The Armani brand confirmed the news in an official statement posted on its social media platforms. The company revealed that Armani remained fully engaged with his work until his final days, overseeing collections and guiding future projects.

“Giorgio Armani was the architect of timeless fashion,” the brand said. “He changed not only how people dress but also how they think about fashion itself.”

A Legacy of Innovation and Influence

Armani spent more than five decades redefining modern elegance and establishing himself as a global icon of Italian style. He built his reputation on clean silhouettes, refined tailoring, and a minimalist aesthetic that reshaped the fashion industry.

Born in Piacenza, Italy, in 1934, Armani began his career as a window dresser before joining designer Nino Cerruti. In 1975, he co-founded the Armani label, which quickly grew into a global empire. He expanded the brand into fragrance, beauty, interior design, music, sports sponsorships, and luxury hospitality, launching Armani Hotels in cities like Milan and Dubai.
