Reports indicate that inflation fell to 21.2% in April 2025—its lowest level in eight months—driven by a stronger cedi that helped ease import-related price pressures.
The figure represents a modest improvement from the 22.4% recorded in March and marks the fifth consecutive month of disinflation.
During the period, consumer prices dropped by 0.8% month-on-month. Both food and non-food inflation slowed, contributing to the overall decline.
Food inflation eased to 25.0% from 26.5%, while non-food inflation fell to 17.9% from 18.7%.
