Nigerian music artist Portable has expressed that he would have preferred a music collaboration with Grammy winner Burna Boy over the ₦20 million cash gift he received from him.
In a social media post following his victory in a celebrity boxing match against fellow entertainer Speed Darlington, Portable said a feature with Burna Boy would be a lasting achievement, unlike the money, which could easily be spent.
“Shout out to Burna Boy. While others tried to advise me, this man motivated me with N20 million,” Portable said.
“But the person who gave me that money has never responded to my messages on Instagram. I don’t have his number, and he doesn’t answer my calls.
“I reached out but got no reply. Burna Boy, you gave me N20 million—thank you—but why not feature me too? Why ignore my messages?
“You’re not following me on Instagram, yet you helped me. Still, a collaboration would mean more because the money can be gone in a day. A feature would take me viral.”
