The New Patriotic Party’s newly elected presidential candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has pledged to set up a strengthened policy unit as part of efforts to rebuild the New Patriotic Party for the 2028 general elections.
Speaking to patrons, Dr. Bawumia said the party would swiftly reorganize its policy framework, including establishing a dedicated policy unit to refine, coordinate, and effectively communicate the NPP’s alternative policy proposals to Ghanaians ahead of the polls.
“The policy overhaul would run alongside a wider reorganization of party structures at the national, regional, constituency, and grassroots levels to create a stronger and more motivated campaign machinery.”
The announcement followed a Thanksgiving service marking the successful conclusion of the NPP’s internal electoral processes and a peaceful flagbearer election.
