Ghanaian music artist Akwaboah has reveal that he has put an end to writing songs for other musicians, due to persistent lack of recognition from them.
Speaking in an interview, Akwaboah said he now prefers to perform his own music rather than write for artists who fail to acknowledge his contributions.
“Initially, I was writing songs for people, but sometimes I didn’t get any credit. They get on stage and say, ‘I thank God, I thank my manager, I thank Charterhouse,’ and that’s it,.
Further, Akwaboah described those moment as a turning point, saying it made him realise the importance of owning and performing his own work.
