Hearts of Oak head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has revealed that his side is on the right track following their exposition in the 2025 GHALCA Top 4 tournament.
Reflecting on their overall performance, Dramani highlighted the team’s thorough preparation as the key to their hard-fought victory over rivals Asante Kotoko revealing that there is more room for improvement.
“We respect our opponents’ strengths and stick to our own, building our game plan around that,” he said. We spent a lot of time on Saturday preparing to deal with their long-ball strategy, anticipating second balls, and applying pressure on their centre-backs to force mistakes.”
Dramani, who previously served as assistant coach for the Black Stars, stressed the importance of focusing on the basics as the team continues to develop.
“There’s still a lot of work ahead,” he noted. “Our goal is to keep improving the fundamental aspects of our game, where players consistently deliver in terms of energy, effort, and overall performance. These are the areas we’ll continue to prioritise.”
The Phobians wrapped up the tournament unbeaten, recording two wins and a draw, but narrowly missed out on the title due to the head-to-head rule.
