The Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) has announced that Ghana’s headline inflation rate dropped to 12.1% in July 2025, down from 13.7% in June, marking the seventh straight month of decline and the lowest rate since October 2021.
According to reports, Food inflation declined by 1.2 percentage points to 15.1%, while non-food inflation dropped by 1.9 percentage points to 9.5%.
Whereas regionally, the Upper West Region recorded the highest inflation at 24.8%, more than double the national average, although lower than the 32.3% recorded in June.
The Central Region posted the lowest rate at 7.7%. Analysts say the sustained disinflation trend could influence future monetary policy decisions, including possible interest rate cuts.
