Sports and Recreation Minister Kofi Adams has declared that Ghana is aiming for the final at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which the United States, Canada, and Mexico will co-host.
Reflecting on past tournaments, Adams emphasized that this year’s squad is ambitious to go all the way.
“Our intention is to stay there until the last game. So you have to prepare. You don’t get there, and when you are doing well, before you start calling for that to happen, because once you have qualified, you have to plan ahead, and I saw that some people were a bit worried. Why do we have to do it? But we are going in there with the mindset that we will stay all the way to the end,” Adams added.
The Ghana Football Association confirmed that the team will base itself at Bryant University in the United States during the tournament, marking the country’s fifth appearance at the global event. Ghana will compete in Group L alongside Panama, England, and Croatia.
