Four Ghanaian sprinters have secured qualification for the 2026 World Athletics Indoor Championships in Kuyawy Pomorze, Poland, scheduled for March 20–22, following impressive performances in the men’s and women’s 60m events.
In a social post, the Ghana Athletics association revealed that, the men’s 60m, Ghana shows strong depth with Saminu Abdul-Rasheed recording 6.54 seconds, Barnabas Kobby Asante Aggerh 6.57 seconds, and Mustapha Alufar Bopkin 6.59 seconds.
Meanwhile, Evonne Britton stood out in the women’s 60m hurdles, finishing in 7.99 seconds.
