Ghanaian gospel musician Piesie Esther has called on young and aspiring gospel artists to brace themselves with resilience for the challenges that come with the music industry.
Speaking in a recent interview, she stressed that resilience and a strong fear of God are essential qualities many emerging gospel musicians lack.
“In this industry, you need to be tough and hold on to God tightly,” she stated. “When you follow God’s will, He takes care of your needs. But if you don’t toughen yourself in this workspace, I tell you, you won’t be able to survive.”
Piesie Esther reflected on her own journey, revealing that she has faced both uplifting moments and controversy. Despite the setbacks, she said she remains focused and unwavering in her mission.
“I’ve encountered a lot, but God has brought us this far. Sometimes, the way people treat you makes you feel like you don’t belong,” she shared. “But if you know where you’re going, you won’t let anyone distract you.”
