Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has pledged to make travel easier for Ghanaian football fans ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup after the Black Stars qualified for the tournament.
In a post on X on Monday, October 13, Mr Ablakwa congratulated the team and said the Foreign Ministry will use Ghana’s strong diplomatic ties with the United States, Canada, and Mexico to secure more visa slots for supporters.
His assurance came after Ghana sealed a spot at the World Cup with a narrow 1–0 win over Comoros on Sunday, October 12, marking the country’s fifth appearance at the global showpiece since debuting in 2006.
