The Chief Executive Officer of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), Julius Neequaye Kotey, has dismissed reports suggesting changes to the agency’s licensing and number plate contracts.
In a social media post, he stated that he has neither approved any new agreements nor cancelled existing contracts related to the production or implementation of new vehicle number plates.
“I wish to address the recent speculation surrounding our licensing systems. As CEO of the DVLA, I have not entered into any new contracts or ended any current ones concerning the new number plates. Claims suggesting otherwise are false,”.
He further reaffirmed the DVLA’s commitment to transparency, due process, and the maintenance of high standards in its procurement and operational activities.
