A book of condolence for the late highlife legend, Charles Kojo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, officially opened today, Monday, July 28, at his residence and radio station in Accra.
In a public announcement issued on July 27, 2025, the Fosu family outlined initial arrangements to allow well-wishers, friends, colleagues, fans, and the general public to pay their respects to the iconic musician.
In a related development, the Creative Arts Agency (CAA) has announced a national candlelight vigil in Daddy Lumba’s honour, scheduled for Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Independence Square in Accra from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The CAA, in a statement, described the vigil as a moment to reflect on the legacy of the late highlife star and to celebrate the unifying power of music, culture, and community. The event will be part of a global tribute, with simultaneous ceremonies expected in Ghana, Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the Netherlands.
