Black Sherif Ex-Management Slapped With GH₵15,000 Legal Bill

Written by Yad Media

A High Court in Accra has ruled in favor of musician Black Sherif, awarding him GH₵50,000 in nominal damages for a technical breach and ordering his former management firm, Charvis Wayne’s Consult, to pay GH₵15,000 in legal costs.

Reports indicate that Justice Afia Adu-Amankwa dismissed all of the financial claims brought against the artist, citing a lack of evidence.

“The court found no proof of unaccounted earnings, withheld revenue, or financial losses attributable to Black Sherif. However, the court confirms that a valid management agreement existed and that the artist, Mohammed Ismail Sherif, engaged a third party while the contract was still in effect, technically breaching the agreement, though causing no substantial loss.”

This ruling comes after Charvis Wayne’s Consult had sought several forms of relief, including a 20 percent share of the artist’s earnings, repayment of more than GH₵1.1 million in alleged investments, and $24,000 for accommodation expenses.
