The Ministry of Education has announced that the 2025 School Placement Portal will open today, September 1, 2025, for students who took part in this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
Addressing the media on August 27, 2025, the Director-General of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Professor Ernest Kofi Davis, confirmed the portal’s scheduled opening.
“Following the release of the 2025 BECE results on August 23, we have commenced processing the data. Placements will be in consonant with available spaces in second-cycle schools.”
Further, he added
“They should complete the process within three weeks, and they will open the portal from September 1 to 8 for candidates to check and confirm their school preferences, personal details, and other key information.”
The Ministry added that they will keep the portal open through Sunday, September 8, 2025, so candidates can verify their information before publishing the final school placement.
