The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has announced the death of Asantehemaa Nana Konadu Yiadom III and set Thursday, August 21, 2025, for her one-week observance at the Manhyia Palace.
The Asanteman Council on Thursday, August 7, 2025, announced the death of 98-year-old Nana Konadu Yiadom III, who had served as Asantehemaa since 2017, succeeding Nana Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem II.
Celebrated for her influential role in the Asante Kingdom, she dedicated herself to preserving Asante culture and steadfastly supported the Asantehene and traditional authority.
