Alan Kyerematen Rebrands Movement For Change As United Party

Written by Yad Media

Leader of the Movement for Change, Alan Kyerematen, has announced that the party has rebranded as the United Party (UP Plus), signifying a new chapter in its political journey.

At the official launch of UP Plus, Party Chairman Abubakar Saddique Boniface explained that the new identity represents a renewed dedication to good governance, transformational leadership, and recognition of a name deeply embedded in Ghana’s political legacy.

“Today, we introduce to you the United Party, or UP Plus — a political organisation committed to driving real change in governance. Our focus is on universal values and competent leadership. We aim to elect leaders who are credible, visionary, and capable of transforming the nation.”

In addition, Alan Kyerematen emphasised that the rebrand signals a “new dawn” for Ghanaian politics, one that promotes accountability, strengthens the fight against corruption, and offers a credible alternative to the winner-takes-all political system.

“This new direction will foster economic growth, generate employment opportunities, and usher in a “golden age of business and prosperity” for Ghana.”
